Iceland – lunar fields, extraterrestrial colors, shadows of recent eruptions, silent ice and the raging Atlantic. Nature that will not leave anyone indifferent. Spontaneous winds and unique experience, impossible in any other place in Europe.

Experience Iceland through the endless panoramas, large strokes of nature and fashionable looks. smArts.studio presents our view of Iceland, rhyming it’s landscapes with designer dresses from Baiba Ladiga. The collaboration project uncovers the fascinating nature of this country by incorporating fashion. And, of course, for this task it was impossible to find clothes more original then Baiba Ladiga’s conceptual fashion design.

smArts.studio – two people that share common passion for photography, passion that has been developing for combined more than 14 years, slowly growing from occasional shot of beautiful place to something larger, to expressing ourselves. People that share so much of how we see the world that there is no need to speak or discus, we just shoot. Shoot to express our attitude, our dreams and our vision.

Baiba Ladiga – Kobayashi (brand Baiba Ladiga) is a conceptual designer based in Riga, Latvia. She studied at Art Academy Of Latvia and graduated in 2004. For five years she worked as fashion design lecturer in Shanghai as well did freelance design, styling and illustration projects. Three years ago ready to wear brand Baiba Ladiga was established. Mainly black and white, made of natural materials like wool, linen and cotton, inspired by architecture and minimalism. Brand focuses on sustainability and zero waste. And at the moment Baiba Ladiga collections are sold in EU and Japan and her avant-garde pieces are worn by style icons like Lily Gatins.
